Book Review:
This is the first time that I will do a book review. A serious one. J
For this to make some sense, let’s break down my feelings about this book.
This book is amazingly:
25% hilarious
25 % sweet and lovely
50 % heartbreaking and annoying
And 100 % will teach you something about FATE, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, FAMILY, and STRUGGLES IN LIFE.
HILARIOUS. This book is funny by the fact that almost all of the characters possess that cool, full of sarcasticness attitude. Then the series of events are something you would consider as joking-on-you happenings.
SWEET and LOVELY. Subjectively speaking I don’t find this book lovely, really! Haha but looking at the fact that it makes you fall in love with the characters especially with Rosie and Alex, the way they handle what relationship they have, the way they’d stick with each other despite a lot of frustrating factors, okay it’s sweet then. And I give a point with the thing they called ‘silence’. Okay I’m convinced. It’s lovely.
HEARTBREAKING and ANNOYING. Oh I’m strongly a pro with this. Yes Yes Yes! Hell yes I truly was annoyed and my heart was shattered a thousand times with this book! The moment when Alex had his first girlfriend, then Alex didn’t make it through the Debs, and then Rosie got pregnant, then Rosie didn’t make it to Boston then what broke my heart so much was the one important letter that Rosie didn’t get at first and then it took the letter 10 years for it to reach Rosie’s hands. Huhuhu. And by the way all weddings and pregnancy revelation in this story, I hate them all!!! A perfect example of a story that in the Girl’s situation everything is perfect, but then in Guy’s, it’s not, he can’t be.. then the other way around. It’s pretty messed up story but in between all those heartbreaking/annoying events you couldn’t get your thoughts out of the fact that FATE really is playing along their lives. And in the end yes, “Soul mates have a way of finding their way to each other.”
As one whole pack, this book has made me cry the longest ever, even longer than the Fault in Our Stars did on me. And this book has the capability to turn you into nuts, that you would want to jump in their story an fix everything that was perfectly messed up. You’ll be in a lot of bargaining along with the characters that if I just did this, this would have happened.. better things would have happened. There are also lots of lessons you will gain from this book. I’m certain of myself that I’ve been changed by this book in a way that I couldn’t put into words.
YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK! That’s a command! :))))
